I have been asked by friends to let them see where I am in my journey. I have recently moved from Atlanta to Auburn, AL and have been struggling to find teachers. I have been dabbling in art for many years painting with decorative artists, fine art painters and have realized that I wanted to create something that was uniquely my own. I began taking some watercolor lessons from Kathie George, but it was not enough just getting to take a workshop once a year. Having made that decision, I started taking pastel lessons from Marsha Savage in Marietta, Carol Sutherland was my teacher for colored pencil and drawing. Since moving to Auburn, I have started painting oils and watercolor. I have found Cheeko Douglas for oils and Brenda Stevens for watercolor, so I continue on my journey of discovery. I am hoping to find other teachers, I will take watercolor lessons at Auburn University during winter months. I have in addition found Cindy Mask & Dick Millman for watercolor instruction and Ronald Bayens for drawing and oil instruction. I am having the time of my life at this late age to be on this journey.
